This Returns and Refund Policy explains how returns, cancellations, refunds, exchanges, and product complaints are handled by Rapid Dawn Industrial for products purchased through or through an approved quotation, invoice, email, telephone, or other sales channel.
Rapid Dawn Industrial sells farming equipment, industrial machinery, tractors, harvesting equipment, trailers, trucks, vehicles, forklifts, implements, parts, generators, irrigation equipment, used equipment, and other specialised goods. Because products differ substantially in size, value, condition, location, and transport requirements, the procedure may differ between products and orders.
Nothing in this Policy limits, excludes, or replaces a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded under applicable South African law, including applicable consumer protections.

1. Contact us before returning anything

Do not send or transport a product back without receiving written instructions from Rapid Dawn Industrial. Machinery and heavy equipment require suitable transport, loading, insurance, handling, and receiving arrangements.
For a return, refund, cancellation, or product complaint, contact:
Please include:
•Your name and contact details;
•Order, invoice, or quotation number;
•Product name and stock code, if available;
•Date of purchase and delivery or collection;
•Reason for the request;
•Photographs or video showing the issue, where relevant; and
•Any delivery, inspection, or transport documents.

2. Products that arrive damaged, incorrect, incomplete, or not as described

If a product is damaged in transit, incorrect, incomplete, materially different from its description, or otherwise not as agreed, notify Rapid Dawn Industrial as soon as reasonably possible after delivery or collection.
Where possible:
1.Record the issue on the delivery or collection document;
2.Take clear photographs of the product, packaging, labels, and visible damage;
3.Keep the product, packaging, accessories, documents, and transport records; and
4.Stop using the product if continued use could cause injury, additional damage, or a safety risk.
We will assess the complaint and may request additional information, an inspection, testing, or an independent assessment where reasonably necessary. Subject to applicable law, the appropriate remedy may include repair, replacement, completion of missing items, price adjustment, cancellation, or refund.

3. Defective products

If you believe that a product is defective or fails to perform as represented, contact us promptly with the details described above.
Do not dismantle, modify, repair, or continue operating potentially unsafe equipment unless doing so is necessary to prevent immediate harm or further damage. Unauthorised modification or repair may affect the assessment of a complaint, subject to the customer’s legal rights.
A remedy will be considered based on the nature of the defect, the product’s condition, the product description, the customer’s use, any applicable warranty or guarantee, the written sale terms, and applicable South African law.

4. Used and second-hand equipment

Many Rapid Dawn Industrial listings are used, second-hand, refurbished, demonstrator, surplus, or otherwise pre-owned equipment. The product listing, photographs, inspection information, quotation, and written communications should be reviewed carefully before purchase.
Used equipment may have ordinary signs of use, wear, age, repair, modification, repainting, storage, or previous operation. Customers should confirm, before purchase where practical:
•Make, model, year, serial number, stock code, and specifications;
•Operating hours, mileage, service history, and condition where available;
•Known defects, repairs, modifications, missing parts, and limitations;
•Included attachments, accessories, tools, manuals, and documents;
•Product location and inspection availability; and
•Whether the equipment is suitable for the customer’s intended use.
A used or second-hand product is not automatically returnable merely because the customer changes their mind or later prefers different equipment. This does not remove any statutory rights that apply where goods are defective, not as described, unsuitable for a purpose represented by the seller, or otherwise protected by applicable law.

5. Change-of-mind returns

Change-of-mind returns are not automatically available for every product. Whether a change-of-mind cancellation or return is permitted depends on the product, the order method, the written agreement, whether the product has been dispatched or collected, and applicable South African law.
Before ordering high-value machinery, used equipment, vehicles, trailers, livestock-related products, or specialised equipment, customers should ask questions, request available documentation, and arrange an inspection where practical.
If Rapid Dawn Industrial agrees to a change-of-mind return, the customer may be responsible for reasonable return transport, loading, insurance, storage, inspection, handling, and other agreed costs, where permitted by law. The product must be returned in the agreed condition with its included accessories and documents.

6. Online, telephone, or other distance sales

Some consumer transactions concluded without the customer physically inspecting the product may be subject to additional rights under applicable South African law, including rights relating to certain electronic or distance transactions. Whether such rights apply depends on the customer, product, transaction method, and applicable legal requirements.
Any applicable statutory cancellation period or cooling-off right will be honoured. This Policy does not remove or reduce a legal cooling-off right that applies to a particular transaction.
Customers should contact Rapid Dawn Industrial promptly if they wish to rely on a statutory cancellation or cooling-off right.

7. Products that may require special handling

The following products may require special return arrangements:
•Tractors and other vehicles;
•Trailers and trucks;
•Harvesters, combines, balers, and other large machinery;
•Forklifts and industrial machines;
•Implements, attachments, and equipment requiring specialist transport;
•Parts that have been installed, modified, or used;
•Livestock, feed, or other perishable or time-sensitive products; and
•Products supplied subject to a special order or written quotation.
A return will not be arranged until Rapid Dawn Industrial has confirmed the safe and practical transport, loading, and receiving process.

8. Special-order, customised, installed, and used products

Special-order, customised, altered, installed, assembled, or commissioned products may have different cancellation and return conditions, which will be stated in the quotation or order confirmation where applicable.
A product may be ineligible for a voluntary return where it has been operated, modified, damaged, installed, assembled, contaminated, or otherwise changed after delivery, subject always to non-excludable statutory rights.

9. Return authorisation and inspection

If a return is approved, Rapid Dawn Industrial will provide return instructions. These may specify:
•The return address or collection location;
•The approved transport method;
•Loading and packaging requirements;
•Required documents, accessories, keys, manuals, and attachments;
•Inspection arrangements; and
•Any agreed responsibility for return costs.
Returned products may be inspected to verify the condition, issue, completeness, identity, and cause of the reported problem. An inspection does not remove the customer’s legal rights.

10. Refunds

If a refund is approved or legally required, it will be processed using the original payment method where reasonably possible, unless another method is agreed or required.
The timing of a refund may depend on:
•Completion of the return or inspection;
•Receipt of the returned product or confirmation of collection;
•Confirmation of the customer’s banking or payment details;
•Payment-provider processing times; and
•Any statutory or contractual requirements.
Refunds may include or exclude delivery, transport, collection, loading, off-loading, insurance, handling, or other charges depending on the reason for the return, the written agreement, and applicable law.
We will not deduct an amount that may not lawfully be deducted. Where a permitted deduction applies, we will explain it to the customer.

11. Deposits and reservation payments

A deposit or reservation payment may be required to reserve equipment, begin preparation, arrange transport, or secure a special order. The quotation or invoice should state the payment terms and any applicable cancellation conditions.
A deposit is not automatically refundable in every circumstance. Its treatment depends on the written agreement, the reason for cancellation, the stage of the transaction, costs reasonably incurred, and applicable law. Rapid Dawn Industrial will not rely on a deposit term to remove a non-excludable statutory right.

12. Delivery, collection, and failed acceptance

If a customer refuses or fails to accept delivery or collection after an agreed arrangement, the customer may be responsible for reasonable additional transport, storage, waiting, re-delivery, or handling costs where permitted by the applicable agreement and law.
Customers should contact Rapid Dawn Industrial immediately if they cannot accept delivery on the agreed date. We will try to agree a practical alternative.

13. Incorrect customer information

The customer is responsible for providing accurate billing, delivery, collection, contact, and product-compatibility information. Additional costs caused by an incorrect address, unavailable site, unsuitable vehicle, failed delivery, or inaccurate information may be charged where permitted by the applicable agreement and law.
This does not affect rights arising because Rapid Dawn Industrial supplied the wrong product or failed to meet its legal obligations.

14. Warranty and manufacturer claims

Where a product includes an express warranty, guarantee, manufacturer warranty, service plan, or other assurance, the applicable terms will be provided in the listing, quotation, invoice, warranty document, or order confirmation.
Customers may be required to follow reasonable warranty procedures, including providing proof of purchase, allowing inspection, using approved service providers, or returning the product as instructed. These procedures cannot remove non-excludable statutory rights.
If no warranty is stated, customers should not assume that a used machine, vehicle, implement, or other equipment includes a manufacturer warranty or free after-sales service.

15. Complaints process

We aim to resolve return, refund, and product complaints fairly and promptly. After receiving a complaint, we may:
1.Confirm receipt of the complaint;
2.Request further information or photographs;
3.Review the listing, quotation, invoice, communications, and delivery records;
4.Arrange an inspection or assessment where necessary;
5.Explain the proposed remedy or reason for declining the request; and
6.Confirm the next steps and expected timing.
If you are dissatisfied with the outcome, ask for the matter to be escalated to a responsible manager or business representative.

16. Consumer rights

This Policy is intended to operate consistently with applicable South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, where it applies to the transaction and the customer.
Nothing in this Policy is intended to:
•Exclude a statutory warranty or consumer remedy;
•Prevent a customer from exercising a legal cancellation or cooling-off right;
•Prevent a customer from lodging a lawful complaint;
•Waive a right that cannot lawfully be waived; or
•Mislead a customer about their legal rights.
The application of consumer legislation may depend on factors including the type of customer, nature of the transaction, product, seller, and sales channel.

17. Policy changes

We may update this Returns and Refund Policy from time to time. The version applicable to an order is generally the version incorporated into the relevant quotation, order confirmation, invoice, or agreement, subject to applicable law.
